Happy Earth Day!

April 22, 2009

Here at PhotoNews, we are celebrating Earth Day with a focus on Hahnemühle’s environmentally-friendly products: Bamboo and Sugar Cane. But, Hahnemühle doesn’t just make enviro products, they are comitted to many green initiatives. You can read more about that in the Winter 2009 issue.

Hahnemühle’s first “green” paper was the first Fine Art inkjet paper made from bamboo fibers. Bamboo 290 is the first fine art inkjet paper that consists of 90% fibres from highly renewable bamboo grass –a fine art paper with eco-friendly production!

Why bamboo? Bamboo is a fast growing, renewable source of fibre. It is easy on the environment in terms of growing and harvesting it.
As noted in a previous blog, the latest environmentally-friendly product from Hahnemühle is Sugar Cane. Hahnemühle Sugar Cane is made from 75 % sugar cane fibres. The by-product of sugar cane processing is used to make a pulp.

Want to keep your printing “green”? Stick with Hahnemühle!
