TIPA Awards – Best photo and imaging products of 2009
MADRID, 17 April 2009 – The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) announces the winners of the TIPA Awards: The best imaging products of 2009 were voted on by editors of the 25 member photo magazines from 10 European countries.

Best Fine Art Inkjet Paper: Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, 315g

Photo Rag Baryta combines the advantages of a 100% cotton paper and a traditional baryta board. The use of barium sulphate in the inkjet coating ensures the typical gloss of traditional Baryta papers. The paper’s unique surface and white tone lends itself perfectly to black and white prints with an extremely high Dmax and finest grey tones, as well as lustre colour images on a 315 g/sqm fine art paper.

Best Studio Generator: broncolor Scoro series

The broncolor Scoro A4S power pack represents the state of the art in studio flash generators. With three lamp outlets, controlled over three individual (asymmetrical) channels (like 3 power packs in one) it offers 3200 J flash energy. What makes it special is its very high repetitive precision, due to its automatic stabilisation of the colour temperature ECTC (Enhanced Colour Temperature Control) over the whole control range and up to six f-stops in asymmetrical mode.
